Hi ya'll. My name is Diane and I am a 28 yr old, mother of three beautiful younguns, in NW Mississippi. I have been bound, to my best friend David, for a little over two years now. My oldest son, 9 yrs old, has bipolar disorder. The purpose of this page is to (Hopefully) let other parents, of kids like him, know that they are not alone. I also hope to help those, who do not understand the nature of neurological brain disorders and mental illness in children, come to some sort of understanding, about what our lives are like. There is a stigma attached to mental illness. It is a stigma that needs to be wiped out in order for these people to grow and learn to live with the disorders they have to deal with. I know that I can't change the way everybody thinks but, if I can open just one person's eyes then, I will know that I have done something to help my son. | ||||||||||||||||

| What I like, what I don't, and all that good stuff. |
My first and foremost priority is to get my son stabilized. He was only tenatively diagnosed and it is imperative that he be properly diagnosed for the appropriate treatment. Secondly - MUSIC: I am a vocalist and I write songs as well. My goal in life has always been to have a band. I gave up on it for a long time bc, I became convinced that it was just futile with kids and the "real world" and all. I can't teach my kids not to give up, IF I give up, now can I? I am going to get to where I want to be, with time dedication, and perseverance. Vocally I guess my biggest influences are James Hetfield of metallica and Geoff Tate of Queensryche. (Kinda strange for a female but, trust me it works). Lyrically, I would have to say, Tate and Geddy Lee, Neil Peart, and Alex Leifson, of Rush. I would love to be as good as they are when I attain my "gold ring" but, I have come to the conclusion that there will never be another band as good as Rush. I am Pagan and studying the Strega Tradition. Notice that I said Studying. Until, I learn this beautiful tradition from someone who is much more evolved than myself, and find a boschetto to join myself, I will not claim to BE strega. My studies of Raven Grimassi's books and further studies into the tradition on the internet has turned my life around. My other interests include: tattoos, web page design, poetry, muscle cars, astronomy, astrology, and mental health advocacy. I am also a forensic science nut but, too big of a chicken to ever pursue a career in it. | ||||||||||||||||
